“DAYA” (Destitute Aged and Young Association), is a voluntary philanthropist non-profit making organization registered under the Societies Act of India with a mission to work for the poorest of the poor both in rural and urban areas in the state of Orissa, one of the most economically backward states of India. DAYA India was started in the year 1996.

* WORK WITH THE POOR AND OPPRESSED, MINORITIES AND THE UNDERPRIVILEGED - Through an integrated, focused approach and commitment.

* PROCLAIM LIBERTY OF MANKIND - Which is holistic through life, deeds, signs and words that encourage people to respond to socio-emotional change.

* TRANSFORMATIONAL DEVELOPMENT - That is community based and sustainable.

* EMERGENCY RELIEF - That assists people afflicted by conflict or disaster.

* PROMOTION OF JUSTICE - By striving to change the unjust structures affecting the poor and the deprived.

* PUBLIC AWARENESS - That leads to informed understanding, giving, involvement and togetherness.

* PROVIDE CARE FOR CHILDREN - Who are victims of natural calamities,dalits(SC/ST), rendered homeless and those essentially in difficult circumstances.
